Before the Kalosian Settlers arrived from Dream Land, Kalos was in an era known as the Xelduinic Era. The timestamp for Xelduinic Times is X, rather than E.
During the Xelduinic Era, the Elder Dragon Xelduin ruled Kalos with his dragons. Polar Kirbies, Elven Kirbies, Dragons, and a whole slew of other creatures are native Kalosians.
The Xelduinic Era was the least-orderly period in Kalos' history. This was before the Coming of Order, which was the beginning of E1. Before the Coming, kirbies simply hunted to live, and hid away for their whole lives.

The Coming of Order
The Coming of Order is the term for the beginning of the First Era. It's called such because it was when the first Kalosian settlers arrived from Dream Land. The settlers brought with them knowledge, tools, and diplomacy. They started a small economy among the Kalosian tribes, and people began to change for the better.
Major effects include: Written and spoken language, the wheel, magick, construction tools, construction methods, diplomacy, economy, and government. The Coming is known as the beginning of modern-day Kalos.

The War for Kalos

The Dragons discovered the Dream Land Kirbies, they attacked them immediately. The dragons were sentient, and like a plague to the lands. They found the new knowledge and order a threat to their command, so they attacked.
Sir Arthur, the commander of Dream Land's Star Knights, sent a unit of Star Knights to fight the dragons back. They fought valiantly for over 30 years.
The final battle of the war, and the most important, is known as the Battle of Xelduin. It took place in E23. In this, the dragons met the Star Knights on the Wheaty Plains for a final battle.
The Battle of Xelduin went on for a month, until Sir Arthur himself came to the battlefield to meet the dragons. At the same time, Xelduin stepped out of his cave on Dragon Island, and roared. The roar froze everyone on the battlefield but him and Sir Arthur.
Xelduin flew over to Sir Arthur and apologized for the fighting ad casualties. Xelduin had attempted to introduce diplomacy to his dragons for years, but they didn't want to give up their authority.
Xelduin negotiated with Sir Arthur for an hour, and they decided to sign an armistice. The dragons agreed to step down and allow the Kalosians to expand.
Thus begins modern-day Kalos.
